Digital Marketing- An Overview

Marketing is the action or business of promoting and selling products or services via any medium. Whereas, digital means Digital usually refers to something using digits, particularly binary digits in other word electronically. Thus digital marketing is the promotion of business via electronic media mainly through Internet. “Digital Marketing is advertising of products or services delivered through digital channels such as social media, mobile applications, email, web applications, search engines, websites, or any new digital channel”. It can be done by online marketing or offline marketing.

Online digital marketing includes Google paid ads, YouTube ads etc whereas offline include promotion via offline video, songs etc. here we refer digital marketing to online digital marketing. In changing digital work, everyone wants to compete it competitor via digital medium. Businesses uses digital channels such as search engines like Google yahoo etc, social media such as Facebook, Instagram etc, email such as Gmail, yahoo mail etc, and other websites to connect with current and prospective customers.

 

Types of Digital Marketing Services:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Search Engine Optimization is one of the most effective digital marketing techniques which include the process of optimizing of a website to rank higher in search engine result page in order to get increased amount of organic traffic to website.

 

Content Marketing: Content marketing is a digital marketing technique that focuses on creating, publishing, and distributing content for a targeted audience online in order to attain the required target.

 

Social Media Marketing: It is the technique of spreading business on the social media such as Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram etc. This is done by selling or promoting the product or services on social media

 

Pay Per Click (PPC): Pay Per Click is a technique of digital marketing in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked to the platform on which a given ads is clicked.

 

Affiliate Marketing: Affiliate marketing is the process giving reward to other website or business owner for providing appropriate sale to a particular business. Or Affiliate Marketing is the process of earning a commission by promoting other people’s (or company’s) products on own website.

 

Native Advertising: Native advertising is the use of paid ads that match the look, feel and function of the media format in which they appear. These ads are different from the paid ads in the sense as these don’t look like ads.

 

Marketing Automation: Marketing Automation can be defined as a process where software platforms and technologies are used to automate several repetitive tasks, undertaken on a regular basis in a marketing campaign.

 

Email Marketing: Email marketing is the process of sending a commercial message of a particular product or services, typically to a group of people, using email in order to get customers.

 

Online PR: Online public relations is an online marketing strategy used by businesses owner to increase online presence by publishing press releases on press release agencies network to gain high-quality backlinks, social media mentions, increase SEO and finally to get appropriate business.

 

Inbound Marketing: It is the most effective marketing tool used to convert strangers into customers. Inbound Marketing is the technique of attracting the attention of visitors or reader, via content like blogs, article etc creation, before they are even ready to buy.
